Epic Deep Water Soloing on the River Thames
Watch some big falls and strong sends on a 16-metre wall in London

The North Face recently brought a crowd of people to Canary Wharf on the River Thames for a two-day deep water solo competition, music, workshops and more.
The event started with a series of qualifying rounds in front of hundreds of spectators on the mega 16-metre that had a backdrop of city buildings and tower blocks. The routes varied from 5.12- to 5.13b and several climbers took big falls into the river.
See some highlights in the below YouTube video: “Hannah Morris and Rotimi Odukoya – two bouldering specialists – put their climbing strength and endurance to the test, to see if they could hold their nerve on a free solo experience, climbing without ropes.”
