Ethan Grayum is Nine and Sends His First 5.12

Ethan started working Kiss Kiss Bang Bang 5.12a in Mazama, Washington, when he was eight. “The day he was ready to begin red point attempts a critical hold broke near the crux,” said father Gabe. “That was pretty demoralizing for him and he basically quit working on it. This season he decided he wanted to get back on it. He made three or four laps on top rope between two sessions and reworked his beta. This send was his first attempt of the day, and his first time leading the route for the season.”
