Five Western Canada Webcams to Help Plan Your Day

Webcams from Canmore, Lake Louise, Bugaboos, Penticton and Squamish

Climbers are always asking around and checking the weather to their daily objectives, but luckily a few webcams livestream current conditions from many of western Canada’s most popular climbing areas.

Canmore: There’s been a webcam streaming from downtown Canmore since 2019. You only see Cougar Creek and the base of Lady MacDonald but it gives you an idea of conditions.

Lake Louise: Back of the Lake is a popular climbing area in Alberta with variable weather and a parking lot that fills up early. Check here for conditions and to see how busy it is.

Bugaboos: CMH owns a number of lodges in B.C., including one near the Bugaboos. You can check current conditions to there and many other mountains here.

Penticton: There are a number of popular climbing areas close to Pentiction, including Skaha. This webcam gives you an idea of the weather in the area.

Squamish: The town of Squamish has been nice enough to hook up some webcams of The Chief and Smoke Bluffs. Visit here for hourly updates. And for a webcam of just The Chief see here.
