Free Weed is New Squamish Multi-Pitch 5.12

Local Squamish crushers Tony Mclane and Jeremy Smith have climbed a new nine-pitch 5.12b up The Chief in Squamish they’ve called Free Weed.
Reported on Squamish Climbing Mag, it climbs the first three pitches of Freeway 5.11c before heading onto the Cannabis Wall and into new terrain.
The crux is a 5.12 pitch on Cannabis Wall, which was first freed in 2008 by Will Stanhope and Jason Kruk.
McLane and Smith have established a number of big and bold climbs in the past. Last summer, McLane made the first solo ascent of the north face of Mount Geikie in the Canadian Rockies.
Smith has made the first ascent of some of Squamish test-piece trad lines, including The Bull 5.14R.
