Gobright and Honnold Link Four Red Rocks Big Walls

Brad Gobright and Alex Honnold linked four Red Rocks big walls in only 10.5 hours on April 1. While they only had three leads, they covered nearly 40 pitches. They met at the Oak Creek Canyon trail head and made a quick approach to Solar Slab 5.6, nine pitches, which they soloed to reach Eagle Wall.

At Eagle Wall, they roped up and Honnold led Levitation 29, the classic nine-pitch 5.11b/c first freed by Lynn Hill and gang. Honnold led the entire climb in one pitch.

They then rappelled Rainbow Wall before climbing back up. Gobright led the 14-pitch 5.12 in a single lead. They then rapped the wall again and moved over to Cloud Tower 5.12a, six pitches, which Honnold led in a single pitch. The full story can be viewed on Gramicci Climb story on Instagram below.
