Jenya Kazbekova Flawless in Comp Finals
The third-generation climber flashed the finals round at the Climbing Works International Festival

The Climbing Works International Festival 2024 took place this past weekend with several top competition climbers competing for the top spot.
While there were several impressive performances, Jenya Kazbekova took gold after flashing every problem in the finals. To round off the podium were Holly Toothill in second and Lucy Garlick in third. For men, Yannick Flohé bested the field and took home gold, followed by Max Milne and Alex Megos. Born to Nataliia Perlova and Serik Kazebekov, the 24-year old Ukrainian is a third-generation climber, as both her parents hold several national titles and her grandmother competed in 1966 in a form of speed climbing outdoors. Jenya has won gold at the Ukrainian National Championships several times, and placed fourth at the Bouldering World Championships in 2019.
On rock, Jenya’s first 5.13b was at age 11 and her first 5.14a was at 13 years old with Parallel’niy mir in Red Stone, Crimea. She’s also climbed several 5.14+ routes, including Gullich and Mountain Rock Trip, both in Crimea. She’s also an accomplished boulderer with sends like Partage V12 in Font to her name.
