Jon Siegrist Makes Likely Second Ascent of Historic 5.14d
American Jon Siegrist has made the second known send of Bachelor Party 5.14d at Mount Potsi in Nevada. The first ascent was in back in 2002 by Francois Legrand and was one of the first 5.14d in North America.
Other 5.14ds from the early 2000s include Psycedelic 5.14c/d near St. George, Utah, that was first climbed by Dave Graham; and Tommy Caldwell’s Kyrptonite 5.14d at Fortress of Solitude in Colorado. Both routes have been repeated.
I've had so much fun beating myself against this power endurance hellish never-ending roof monstrosity! Broke through burning biceps and crippling body tension for the win yesterday and I'm pretty stoked about it!! I believe it's the first repeat since the legend Francois Legrand opened 'Bachelor Party' in '02. Along with Kryptonite and Psychedelic it was one of the original 9a's in the Nation.
