Jon Siegrist Sends La Planta de Shiva 5.15b in Spain

Jon Siegrist has sent his second 5.15b with a tick of La Planta de Shiva in Andalucia, Spain. “The hardest part about climbing at your limit is balancing the emotions of wanting something with such overwhelming intensity and also somehow finding the strength to let it go and be free from the pressure,” Siegrist said on social media.

“I found some kind of middle path today on La Planta de Shiva. It was an absolute battle to the death and I will never forget it.”

Siegrist has amassed an impressive list of routes that he’s climbed, including Biographie/Realization 5.15a, Chaxi 5.15a, Joe Mama 5.15a, Jumbo Love 5.15b, La Rambla 5.15a Pachamama 5.15a, Papichulo 5.15a and Power Inverter 5.15a. On 8a.nu, Siegrist said, “Fought with every ounce in my body, a feeling I will never forget. Absolutely incredible route with no place to hide. Resistant like hell. So freaking excited about this send!”
