Jorge Diaz-Rullo Sends First 5.15b with Planta de Shiva

Jorge Diaz-Rullo, 20, has climbed his first 5.15b with a send of Planta de Shiva in Villanueva del Rosario. The steep route was first climbed by Adam Ondra and has been climbed at least three times.

Diaz-Rullo’s first 5.15a was in 2017 with Ali Hulk Extension in Rodellar. He also made quick repeats of Mangarbo 5.15a and Mandanga total 5.14d after Planta de Shiva.

Two years ago, Angy Eiter climbed it and became the first woman to send 5.15b. In March, American Jon Siegrist sent it and said, “I found some kind of middle path today on La Planta de Shiva. It was an absolute battle to the death and I will never forget it.” Jakob Schubert made the second ascent in 2016.
