July 7, 2010 – Honnold and Leary Climb 85 Pitches in 24 Hours
Alex Honnold teamed up with Sean Leary for what may be one of the most impressive El Cap link-ups to date. Starting at 8 p.m., the pair climbed the Nose in four hours and fifteen minutes. They then shifted their attention to the Salathe, which they climbed in just over six hours and finally finished the day by climbing Lurking Fear – a total of approximately 2,400m in 24 hours.
