Kaddi Lehmann has climbed Kryptos V15 at Basler Jura in Switzerland and has become the second female after Ashima Shiraishi to climb the grade.
“Kryptos is a beautiful line following a very obvious limestone seam,” said Lehmann.
“It is located in a small bouldering area in the Swiss Jura close to Solothurn and was opened by Franz Widmer in 2009.” It was later repeated by Fred Nicole.
“I’m very happy that I could do this boulder. It didn’t feel easy and I think it is for sure the hardest boulder that I have done.”
On March 22, 2016, Ashima Shiraishi made the second ascent of Horizon V15 on Mount Hiei, on the southern island of Kyushu, near Miyazaki, Japan.
Shiraishi became the youngest person to ever climb V15 and also the first female to boulder the grade.
Fellow crusher Daila Ojeda commented on Instagram, “Congrats Kaddi Lehmann for sending this hard core boulder problem Kryptos 8C/V15 at Switzerland. Wow that is inspiring!”
