UK hardman Dave Birkett has free climbed a new 11-pitch route in the Ben Heatlie amphitheatre in the Hex River Valley near Cape Town, South Africa. The route Remote Control 7c (5.12d) Â was climbed on natural gear and is a worthwhile adventure for anyone interested in exploring this isolated canyon. More details here and here.
