Days before he was scheduled to leave for an extended European road trip, Joe Kinder bagged the first ascent Tiger Blood 5.14c. Kinder had bolted the route last year, but was disappointed with the low angle/tiny hold climbing and had planned to give the line to Dave Graham. Returning to the route this year Kinder realized the quality of the movement and sent the route after a few days work. Tiger Blood opens with 5.12a climbing that’s followed by V9 – V11 boulder problems on small holds and poor feet. The route is located on the appropriately named Blank Wall cliff in Southern Utah.
