Martial Law is a New 5.15a in the U.S.A.
Found close to Las Vegas, this is the hardest redpoint to date for Cameron Horst

Cameron Horst has made the first ascent of Martial Law 5.15a at Robbers Roost on Mount Charleston close to Las Vegas. The hard line was bolted by Andy Raether and Joe Kinder.
Horst arrived in the area a few weeks ago with the plan to work on the project. He said that after a few sessions he knew that he’d be able to redpoint it this year. Horst described it as a “a super bouldery and resistant route with about 20 nonstop moves.” It’s not an independent line rather it joins Arrested Development 5.14d, which was Alex Honnold’s first route at the grade in 2019.
Horst sai, “Im deciding to propose 9a+ [5.15a] because I feel like it is harder than the 9a/+ [5.14d/15a] I did (Bone Tomahawk). I also discussed it with Joe and we both feel it is of the 9a+ [5.15a] standard. Getting to have the FA of Martial Law is a huge milestone in my climbing career. I am super thankful to Joe and Andy for welcoming me to try it”
Horst climbed his first 5.13 at nine, first 5.14 at 11 and first 5.14d at 18 years old. Last year, he sent several 5.14ds, including Smoke Wagon, Southern Smoke Direct and Zoolander.
