May 17, 2010 – New Route on South Face of Mt. Logan
One of the last great Canadian unclimbed walls was finally climbed in early May by the strong Japanese team of Yasushi Okada and Katsutaka “Jumbo” Yokoyama. The pair climbed the 2500m south face of Mt. Logan alpine-style in a three day push and continued to the 5900m east summit before descending via the east ridge. More details here.
