Motivation Monday: Five Moves to Mimic from Rock to Plastic
Easter weekend is over, which means we are well into spring. Many climbers will be letting their gym memberships expire while they hit the road in search of hard problems and climbs.
Here are some fun gym and rock moves to keep the motivation high heading into the week. And one big fall, which reminds us why we use pads. Click on the clip to play.
Just climbed at the boulder WC here in Meiringen, Swizz. It's been a while since I have done one of these overseas. The level of competition has dramatically increased over the years. Just a few mistakes will have you out of semis or finals. I tried hard but it wasn't good enough. The blocs were well set and had a good time/learned some stuff. Here is a vid that @boilerroomclimbing took of me on men's quali #4. Will do another in Japan and then the one in vail, so hopefully those go better… but nowadays it is such a gamble. Inspiring to watch @shaunacoxsey dominate and take gold along with @fujii_kokoro.
Here's another V12 dyno from Grampians called "If you want blood, you've got it" Due to hot temps (February), I had to stay clear from all the friction depending boulders. Nothing but decent holds on this one! • Thanks for the spot mates 😎 @n1ckdand @under.cling • 📽 by @hennatuulia.h • @kiipeilyareena @lasportivagram #grampians #summer #bouldering #nosweat
Ok so I was cleaning out my phone and found this video. 4 months too late but this is my first V10 this September in Squamish. I might not have checked out the topout very well but I was sooooo stoked! . 📷: @yalowega . . . . #climbing #bouldering #rockclimbing #climbcanada #girlswhocrush #climblikeagirl #girlsboulder #outdoorwomen #squamish #squamishbouldering #calgaryclimbingcentre
