Nathan Hall is a Squamish-based climber who recently sent one of the area’s classic hard boulder problems.

Originally from Saskatchewan, 29-year-old Hall is an all-round climber with a number of hard boulders and routes under his belt.

In 2013, Hall sent Ghost King V11 in Utah’s Joe Valley, but in 2015 he’s been on a tear. In February, he sent El Varano V11 at Spain’s Albarracin. Then in March, Hall sent Eye of the Beholder V11 and Hydrogenated Oil V11 in Joe’s Valley.

On May 2, Hall sent his first V11 in Canada after topping out Encore Une Fois in the Grand Wall Boulders. “It’s a crazy subtle and technical problem and to me epitomizes Squamish style,” said Hall. “Really nice feeling topping this one out, my first Squamish V11.”

There are over 15 ascents of Encore Une Fois on Sendage. See who’s sent it and what they had to say here.

In 2014, Hall also sent Division Bell 5.13d and Permanent Waves 5.13d.

Watch some Squamish bouldering, Encore une Fois starts at 1:38.
