First Look: New Cassin Alpinst Tech Crampons for 2019

The new Cassin Alpinist Tech is an aggressive mono-point that has a shorter secondary point for more support and stability. We got a first look at the new crampons at the Denver Outdoor Retailer trade show in January.

It’s the lightest technical crampon from CAMP/Cassin, has an asymmetric design that allows it to contour to your boots, a solid adjustable linking bar and anti-balling plates.

The Alpinist Tech is the evolution of Cassin’s Alpinist Pro and is made for technical alpine and ice climbing. The front bail can be set in three positions and heel bail in two. These promise to be the best new high-end crampon to his the market for fall 2019/20.
