New Denver Public Climbing Wall by The North Face

The North Face is building a new outdoor climbing wall in the Montebello Open Space area that will open this year. They made the announcement at the Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show in Denver.

The initiative is part of The North Face’s Walls Are Meant for Climbing campaign, which aims to make climbing more inclusive.

“Building public climbing walls is a dream come true for us,” said Tom Herbst, Global Vice President of Marketing at The North Face.

“We launched this campaign to bring communities together. At a time when we may feel division across our country, we want to come together and share in the challenges and triumphs of the sport of climbing.”

The North Face athletes Matty Hong, Maureen Beck and Daniel Woods will be working with local youth to conceptualize the new community wall.

The outdoor climbing wall is the first since The North Face announced their one-million-dollar pledge to the Trust for Public Lands.
