Mark Smith was busy this summer establishing new test-pieces at Ontario’s Lion’s Head.

Greg Williamson is one of the most knowledgeable climbers in the area. He recently told Gripped, “Yes, it was a pretty good summer for new development. Smith sent an old project that Gus Alexandropoulos bolted years ago.”

The old project is two routes to the right of Death by Spanking, “Smith called it Stretch the Limit 5.13c, if your Smith’s size – good luck if your shorter,” said Williamson. “He also bolted a new 5.13a called 30 Years in the Making – it follows the arete to the right of Windy City.”

Williamson and Daniel Martian have bolted a number of harder routes, but no sends yet. “There is a bit of season left, so we will see,” said Williamson.
