New Route in Patagonia on Colmillo Sur is Califlores

Tad McCrea and Jonathan Griffin climbed a new route up the east face and south ridge of Colmillo Sur on Glaciar Marconi. The new 350-metre route is called Califlores, named after a local flower that grows around El Chalten, and is a mixed alpine line.

Their new eight-pitch route was the second ascent of the peak after the first ascent in 2015 when Francesco Salvaterra, Luca Bianco, Marcello Cominetti and Giacomo Deiana climbed the north arete.
