New Thunder Bay Area Guidebook and Historical Photos

Aric Fishman is a leading Thunder Bay climber focused on developing the sport in Northwestern Ontario. Over the past year, Fishman has produced a new guidebook to the northern Ontario city. With hundreds of quality routes from 5.5 to 5.13+ and classic single and multi-pitch lines, Thunder Bay Climbing is full of great photos, maps and route info.

One of the leading developers during the 1970s and 1980s was Sean Parent. He made the first ascents of many now-classics, such as Spiral Galaxy 5.8 and Discovery 5.5. Many of Parent’s photos were on old slides and were scanned by Fishman. Below are a select few, some of which will appear in the new guidebook.
