Nina Williams and Brooke Raboutou Send Techy V12
The pair had a send train on Drew Ruana's Florida Man V12

Nina Williams and Brooke Raboutou recently repeated Drew Ruana’s Florida Man V12. The traversing problem follows a rising leftward seam and poor footholds requiring a high degree of balance and technique. “All subtle body positioning and thumb cruxes on a grippy boulder in a sunny field with a crew that’s been helping me remember why I loved bouldering so much in the first place,” said Williams after her send on Instagram.
Not long before Williams and Raboutou’s repeats, Daniel Woods made the second ascent of Florida Man. “Great bloc hosting a couple of tech lines,” said Woods via Instagram. “Was nice to take a break from all the steep lines I’ve been on lately and session something more delicate. For a [traverse] this thing has some intricate body positions, cool hold selection, and great rock.”
Florida Man V12 is another proud tick on Williams’ list of hard boulder problems. In 2015 she sent her first V13 – Ray of Light in Rocklands, South Africa. In 2017, she made the first female ascent of the huge highball Ambrosia V11 in the Buttermilks. In 2018, she sent The Shining V13 and The Automator V13, both located in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Raboutou has climbed a number of V14s including Trieste in Red Rock, Jade in Rocky Mountain National Park, and Muscle Car near Boulder. In October she topped Box Therapy, downgrading the problem from V16 to V15.
