The Japanese team of Yasushi Okada and Katsutake Yokoyama were awarded the Piolet d’or Asia for establishing a new line up the SE Face of Mount Logan. The pair climbed in alpine style snaking their way up the massive face onto the ridge and to the east summit. Okada and Yokoyama then descended almost 20 miles along the east ridge. Mount Logan is located in the St. Elias Mountains and is the second tallest mountain in North America. More details here.
