Nova Scotia V9 Gets Second Ascent

Winter of Our Discontent climbs an eye-catching line up a granite boulder on Canada's east coast

Winter of Our Discontent was first climbed by Ben Smith and graded V9, with Smith saying, “Old owls arete proj, best V9 in Nova Scotia.” The second ascent of the aesthetic problem was just recorded and shared on Mo Beta, watch below.

Winter of Discontent is found at the Owl’s House area of West Pennant, an area of Nova Scotia that has some classic boulder problems, including Mama Bear V6, Heffalump V5 and More Coffee V3.

You can find detailed topos and photos of the best bouldering areas in Nova Scotia over at Mo Beta, check it out here.
