The B.C. government has announced that the property it recently acquired which includes the Malamute, will become part of Stawamus Chief Provincial Park. The purchased land covers almost 10 hectares and ensures access to this important climbing area.
“The addition of the Malamute lands to the provincial park will help foster a legacy of Squamish as a climbing destination and the outdoor recreation capital of Canada for generations to come,” says Squamish Mayor Greg Gardner.
