Olympic Torch Goes for a Climb, Ski and Highline in Chamonix
The 2024 Summer Olympic Games starts in Paris in two weeks

It was 100 years ago that the Olympic Winter Games happened in Chamonix, and now the Olympic torch has returned to the Mont Blanc area. The flame was carried to the top of Aiguille du Midi at 3,842 metres via cable car before it took part in a relay with 24 torchbearers.
The Olympic flame was included in an ascent of Grand Gendarme on Cosmiques Arete, a highline, an offpiste ski descent and a paraglide. The entire day was documented by Bertrand Delapieere, watch below.
The flame is on a two and a half month journey through 64 territories, and will arrive in Paris for the Olympics on July 26. The 40 climbers who will be competing have been named, visit here to find out who they are.
