Omega Pacific is Closing For Good After 38 Years

The manufacturer of Link Cams opened their doors in 1982

Omega Pacific has announced they’re closing shop after 38 years of manufacturing an assortment of climbing gear. One of their most-loved pieces of gear was the Link Cam.

CEO Rob Nadeau sent an email on Jan. 20 to past customers that reads, “As Omega Pacific starts the new year, I’m writing you today as CEO to share some important information about Omega Pacific’s future. After 37 years as a U.S. manufacturer of high-quality climbing and rescue hardware, Omega Pacific has made the decision to close its doors.

“The decision is based upon economic factors, and the founder’s decision to retire. Therefore, Omega Pacific will begin winding down business operations immediately.”
