Piotr Schab Sends La Rambla 5.15a in Spain

Piotr Schab has sent his fifth 5.15a in the past 12 months with his send of La Rambla in Siurana. Schab started climbing when he was seven and is in his early 20s, but his dad first sent a 5.14 back in 1997 when Schab was one.

Schab is one of the world’s best onsight climbers and recently said about his skill: “I’ve been onsighting since the very beginning of my climbing. I love the onsight game and the emotions that come out of it. A top climber should have the ability to read the route well while onsighting, as well as projecting. For me projecting is harder. Doing a route on your limit requires huge mental strength, which is very hard to get.”

Schab has a number of hard routes to his name, including Ali Hulk Extension 5.15a, Biographie 5.15a, Catxasa 5.15a, Thor’s Hammer 5.15a and Papichulo 5.15a. Swipe right below to watch video of send of La Rambla.
