Sasha DiGiulian Climbs Her 50th 5.14
From crag routes to multi-pitch, the American has had a highly accomplished decade and a half

American climber Sasha DiGiulian has climbed her 50th 5.14 route with a send of Hellcat in Clear Creek Canyon near Golden, Colorado.
DiGiulian started climbing at the age of six and began competing the following year. At age 11 she climbed her first 5.13b and before graduating high school she climbed Southern Smoke 5.14c and Lucifer 5.14c in Red River Gorge. After winning a silver at the World Championships, she returned to Red River Gorge and climbed Pure Imagination, which was graded 5.14d at the time but later downgraded to 5.14c.
Over the years, she stepped away from crag climbing to focus on difficult multi-pitch, like the Trilogy in the Canadian Rockies, Magic Mushroom 5.13a on the Eiger and the Misty Wall in Yosemite. Last year, she completed a new three-pitch 5.13+ with Lynn Hill in Colorado, read about it here.
DiGiulian has been an inspiration to a generation of climbers for over a decade, read what she said in an interview with us earlier this year here.
