Sébastien Lapierre of Quebec to Ski to South Pole Solo

Sébastien Lapierre is attempting to become the first Canadian to complete a solo Antarctic ski expedition without any assistance. In 2010, he completed a Greenland Ice Cap ski expedition. In 2013, he completed a kayaking expedition from Tuktoyaktuk to Gjoa Haven.

Both trips helped him prepare for the 1,130-kilometre trip from Hercules Inlet to the Geographic South Pole. Between big trips, Lapierre is a fire fighter in Quebec City. Follow his trip on Instagram below. For an interview with Lapierre visit here.
