Shauna Coxsey Sends Another U.K. V13

Watch the first episode of her new video series featuring some of her favourite boulders

Top U.K. climber Shauna Coxsey has made the third ascent of Hydro V13 in South Wales, for her second problem at the grade this year. Last month, Coxsey climbed Flip Flopera V13 in the Lake District.

Coxsey is currently touring the U.K. in search of her favourite V6 to V10 boulders for her new YouTube series – watch below. About being on the road, she said, “Following the Olympics, becoming a mom and rehabbing from double knee surgery I am on a tour of the U.K. to find my 50 best 7th grade boulders. The tour kicks off by catching the end of Grit season and picking some of the best 7’s near my hometown of Sheffield.”

While Coxsey has climbed around the world, this was her first visit to the bouldering in South Wales. Coxsey told Planet Mountain, “I still feel like I’m lacking some energy as I am still breastfeeding which I love but it’s hard too. It’s just so nice to feel confident enough to try these boulders and to be finding my fight again. I still feel like I have a lot of gains to make which is exciting too.”

Coxsey’s hardest boulder send came in 2014 when she repeated New Base Line V14 at Magic Wood, Switzerland. At the time, she was only the third woman to climb V14.
