Squamish’s La Coalition 5.11 is Good to Go

Squamish’s Adam Hart established La Coalition a number of years ago and wants people to go climb it.

“I established a new six pitch 5.11+ in the South Gully on The Cheif just up from the Opal Wall called La Coalition with Damien Cote in 2008,” said Hart. “We climbed it ground up and all bolts were hand drilled.”

Hart has been climbed for nearly 20 years and having climbed nearly every route in Squamish up to 5.11c, he feels comfortable saying that La Coalition is one of the best at the grade.

“Now it’s time to put this route on the Squamish climbing map,” said Hart in hopes other climbers will head up to climb it.

To free climb the route was a combined effort of Cote, Hart, Matt Maddaloni and John Furneaux.

La Coalition is a great option if Rock On 5.10a has a big line or if you’re just looking to get away from the sun.
