Steve Swenson Giving Slideshow in Calgary for Streets to Peaks

American alpinist Steve Swenson will be doing a slideshow in Calgary on Feb. 15 as a fundraiser for Streets to Peaks. All proceeds benefit Streets to Peaks to enrich and empower at-risk, aboriginal girls and young women through mountain challenges and exposure. Swenson has spent over 1,200 days in the Himalayas, has soloed the north ridge of Mount Everest, climbed K2 up the north ridge, made the first ascent of the Mazeno Ridge on Nanga Parbat, the second ascent of the north face of Mount Alberta and has won the Piolet d’Or.
