Three New Ice/Mixed Climbs in European Mountains

There’s been a flurry of new routes in Canada, but also over Europe where three new big mixed climbs follow aesthetic lines.

Marco Birolini and Ennio Spiranelli recently made the first ascent of 80 Primavere, which planetmountain.com noted is “a mixed climb dedicated to Mario Bergamelli, Honorary President of the Nembrese Alpinist Group.” It follows mostly snow and moderate rock to the summit of Pizzo Porola in Bergamo Alps.

And in the Dolomites, Simone Banal, Matteo Faletti, Alessandro Beber, Marco Pellegrini and Marco Zanni made the first ascents of the 265-metre La Bella AI5+ and La Bestia AI5+ M6 on Cima del Focobon in the Pale di San Martino group.

Dolomites are full of hidden jewels… Like this rose ice-waterfall ?!
