Tour de Bloc 2016, Climber’s Rock and a Birthday Win

It was the first Tour de Bloc of 2016 and Zach Richardson celebrated the day with a win on his 15th birthday.

The first Tour de Bloc of the year took place at Climber’s Rock in Burlington on Jan. 9. It was a big day for local climber Zach Richardson who finished in first place on his birthday. For the women, Pia Graham, who was recently featured in Gripped magazine, finished on top of the podium.

Zach’s parents, James and Maria Richardson, opened the now-popular Climber’s Rock in 2008. Zach’s first competition was a Tour de Bloc in season six.

For the past seven years, Zach has become one of Canada’s top youth climbers. Look for more on Zach in upcoming issues of Gripped. Open results below, for full results, visit here.
