Vancouver Rock Climbing Group Christmas Fundraiser

If you are in Vancouver raise some funds for a good cause from December 16-21

Established in 2008, Vancouver Rock Climbing Group Society is a registered not-for-profit BC Society (S-0061792) with the mission to connect climbers to share resources and maximize their climbing experience, introduce climbing to prospective climbers and run charity projects to benefit the community. They are run by climbers and entirely volunteer run. As of Oct 2013, they run around six events per week. Their events include indoor/outdoor rock climbing sessions, socials, instructional training and charity projects. In the past four years, they organized the annual Christmas fundraiser for a selected charity and so far they have raised $15,174. They are also a member club of the Federation of Mountain Club BC (FMCBC) to advocate for safe, self-propelled activities and the protection of BC’s backcountry.
This year they are organizing a Christmas climbing fundraiser to raise money for two charities: BC Children’s Hospital and Climb and Conquer Society Canada. The VRCG will cover all admin costs and all proceeds go to the charities. From December 16-21 (Mon-Sat) you can fund-raise for the cause. There will then be two parties: the first at Vancouver’s Cliffhanger on December 20th, from 6-10 p.m; the second will be a costume party at The Hive on Dec 21st, from 6-10 p.m.
