Slovenian climber Vita Lukan, 21, has onsighted Geminis 5.14a at Rodellar, Spain. The 40-metre line has been climbed in the past by Dave Graham, Anak Verhoeven and Novato Marin. Watch Chris Sharma go for an onsight attempt in 2007.
Lukan recently won Arco Rock Master with Jessica Pilz, and grabbed a bronze at her first Lead World Cup in Briancon. In 2020, she sent Histeria 5.14c at Misja Pec.
Lukan’s historic onsight makes her one of only a few woman who’ve onsighted 5.14a; others include Martina Demmel in 2021, Laura Rogora in 2020, Anak Verhoeven in 2019 Kajsa Rosen in 2016, Sasha DiGiulian in 2011, Maja Vidmar in 2010, Charlotte Durif in 2010, and Josune Bereziartu in 2006.
