Watch Drew Ruana Send Sleepwalker V16
It was his first of the grade
Drew Ruana recently sent his first V16 with Sleepwalker in Red Rocks, which was first climbed by Jimmy Webb last year. The burly problem climbs a 55-degree overhang and has a number of burly moves. In the fall, Ruana made the first ascent of Squoze V15.
“I just dialed all the moves perfectly before considering redpoint attempts,” said Ruana. “I did it on my fourth redpoint attempt today, but I made sure over the last seven days before that I could do all the sections perfectly each session. I was going for ‘low points’ and yesterday did it from from the second move to the top which gave me confidence.”
