Watch Edu Marin Send Chamonix’s Classic Digital Crack

Edu Marin and his father, Novato, head to the Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix to climb Digital Crack.

The high-altitude route sits at 3,800 metres and is a 70-metre face/crack climb that goes at 5.13b. Their goal was  to acclimatize for their main objective, the Petit Voie on Grand Capucin, which they intend to climb in a single push.

Edu decided to skip the first belay on Digital Crack and to climb the two-pitch route as one to get used to the altitude and the demands of big wall climbing in Chamonix.

The first ascent was by Alain Ghersen with Thierry Renault in 1990. For years, it was the most difficult climb over 3,700 metres.
