Watch Skipping the Bolts on Taste the Bronco 5.13+

The classic route is found at Donner Summit, California

The South Star Wall at Donner Summit near Lake Tahoe is a world-class sport climbing cliff where the evolution of hard rock climbing in America can be studied.

Taste the Bronco 5.13c/d is a link of a Hidetaka Suzuki route from 1987 and a Don Welsh route from 1990. Both routes are fully bolted, but Jonathan Guy thought it would be fun to give it a go using only natural protection, creating a hard trad climb in the process.
