YoungHye Kwon Climbs the World’s Hardest Mixed Routes

Korean mixed climber, YoungHye Kwon, recently traveled the world to climb the hardest mixed routes in one season.
[shareprints gallery_id=”11385″ gallery_type=”thumb_slider” gallery_position=”pos_center” gallery_width=”width_100″ image_size=”large” image_padding=”0″ theme=”dark” image_hover=”false” lightbox_type=”slide” titles=”true” captions=”true” descriptions=”true” comments=”true” sharing=”true”]The routes he sent were Steel Koan M13+ in Cineplex Cave of Canadian Rockies, Mustang M14 in East Vail, U.S., IronMan M14+ in Eptingen, Switzerland, which is the world hardest route, Kamasutra D13+ of Iseo, Italy and lastly Dichette D14 in L’Usine, France.
For preparation, Kwon trained on Black Eagle D14, which is in the Jobi Mountain Cave, South Korea. Black Eagle has only been climbed by Kwon, who said holds have broken making it harder.
Kwon is the only person to have sent all of the above routes. He paid for his own trip without the help of any sponsors.
