Brette Harrington Rocks Cover of Canadian Alpine Journal 2019

Harrington is high on Crouching Tiger 5.12 on the Chinese Puzzle Wall in B.C.

The 2019 Canadian Alpine Journal has been released and the cover features Brette Harrington on pitch-three of Crouching TIger 5.12 on the Chinese Puzzle Wall in B.C. The image was taken by talented Squamish photographer Kieran Brownie.

The issue includes new routing in windy Patagonia, big and wet coastal first ascent, thin air and mountain essays. Editor Sean Isaac continues his years-long tradition of jamming as much Canadian-related content between the covers. “He and the contributing authors have all put their heart into this publication,” said the Alpine Club of Canada, “so we hope you enjoy the spirit of our climbing community in print.

Featured articles include: MA’s Vision by Quentin Roberts, The American Indirect by Graham Zimmerman, The Range of Light by Derek Field, Super Unknown by Colin Landeck and Compromise in Conversation by Kieran Brownie.
