Climbers Try Coveted Yukon Alpine Rock Face
A 2024 expedition film into a remote corner of northwestern Canada to try an often-talked about granite wall

In Summer 2024, two Alpine Club of Canada Yukon board members, John Serjeantson and Rob Cohen, received a grant from the Yukon 125 prize for an expedition into the Boundary Ranges of Southern Yukon.
Their goal was to attempt a first ascent on one of the most striking features of the Radelet Peak Massif (a.k.a. the Crystal Towers), one of the most coveted lines in the local alpine rock climbing community. Find out how to reach Radelet Peak here.
With extremely experienced First Ascensionists in the lead, David Benton and Zach Clanton, they battled cold, wind, and poor weather over a week and a half to try and reach the summit.
The expedition and this film were supported by the Government of Yukon, Department of Tourism and Culture. As the film description reads, “They battled cold, wind, and poor weather over a week and a half to try and reach the summit.”
