La Rubia: New Film Featuring Bronwyn Hodgins Climbing 5.14+

The film will be screening at several locations in Canada over the next few months

A new film called La Rubia will be touring several major cities this year that features big wall veteran Bronwyn Hodgins projecting and sending her hardest route to date with La Rubia 5.14c in Spain. Watch the trailer below.

The video description reads, “In this all-female production, 32-year-old Canadian Bronwyn Hodgins faces a burnout from big wall expeditions and decides to shift her focus to sport climbing. Little does she know that this new curiosity for training and performance will plunge her into the most intense mental undertaking of her life… as she pours herself into La Rubia, a 5.14c (8c+).”

The film will be touring with Mountains on Stage all over Europe, the UK, Canada, the USA, Australia and New Zealand in April and May 2025. Hodgins will be at the world premier in Paris on April 7, a number of the shows in France throughout April, and then at the following shows in Canada: Ottawa on April 28, Montreal on April 30 and Toronto on May 1.
