Stoked at Home: Adam Ondra FA of Bohemian Rhapsody 5.15a

The top climber sent the line last week after a number of 5.14s

Adam Ondra made the first ascent of Bohemian Rhapsody 5.15a last week in Roviste, Czech Republic. He graded it 5.15a, the hardest in the area.

“I have spent the last two weeks climbing in the local gyms,” said Ondra, “and climbing around here. The situation is quite good even if you cannot travel abroad for now, so I have concentrated on areas that I haven’t seen in years. Roviště is a beautiful place, near the Vltava river, which I have frequented for many years as a child.”

After covid-19 isolation ended for Ondra, he made quick work of: Captain Marvel 5.14a, Louis Je Master 5.14b, Nesmrtelny Bond 5.14b and Iceberg 5.14c.
