While shooting climbing I’m constantly learning more about the craft. Yesterday I learned
it’s so easy to get fixated on certain shots and not give any thought to less obvious parts of the climb. The usual mantra is “I need to photograph the crux and the steepest sections.” I broke out of this tunnel vision yesterday and decided to get myself into position so I was able to photograph Ian leading the upper half of the first pitch.
