The New 2024 MoonBoard Set Is Here
A brand new set of blue polyester and wooden ergonomic holds that won't polish over time

The MoonBoard is one of the most useful and fun training boards on the market. The board has evolved since its introduction, with new hold sets being introduced over time to refine the board’s climbing. The famous 2016 board featured white, black, and yellow holds. The Masters 2017 board added some red and wooden holds. The Masters 2018 board removed the red holds and added more wooden ones. The 2020 Mini focused simply on the combination of wooden holds alongside the original yellow holds.
The 2024 MoonBoard set is a big change from previous boards. Gone are the white, black, red, and yellow holds from previous editions. This new set introduces 120 new blue polyester holds alongside 80 wooden ones, plus 10 yellow foot holds. The set is the most varied grouping of holds that MoonBoard has ever released, featuring ergonomic pinches, crimps, edges, and underclings, with more rounded angles.
One big change with the 2024 hold set is that they are made of polyester resin. Previous hold sets were made of polyurethane. Polyester is a great material for holds because it does not polish. Polyester holds are much more delicate though, and extra care has to be taken to not chip the holds when screwing them on. If you drop them on a hard surface, they will break.
