Wild Country Mosquito Pro Harness Review
A comfortable harness designed for all of your trad and alpine climbing adventures

Wild Country’s new Mosquito Pro harness takes inspiration from its lighter sibling, but adds a host of great features that make it more versatile and capable of tackling big mountain objectives.
A while ago we reviewed the Wild Country Mosquito harness, a minimal lightweight harness ideal for gym sessions and redpointing. We loved the minimalist feel of the Mosquito, but it did have some limitations that kept it in the gear closet when it was time to tackle alpine or trad missions.
The Mosquito Pro has the same lightweight DNA as the original but offers new features that make it ideal for big racks and big days in the mountains. Adjustable leg loops are the most obvious change, and let you customize the fit as well as change layers if needed. The waist belt offers a bit more padding for those long belay’s and there are five gear loops for multiple racking options. Two ice tool holder slots also make this harness a capable alpine option. The Mosquito Pro is low on weight but not on safety features, as Wild Country has included their wear indicator on the lower tie in point to let you know when it’s time to replace.
We loved the original Mosquito harness and with all of the additional features offered in the Pro version it has become a go to for everything from multi pitch sport climbs, all day trad pursuits and venturing into the high alpine.
