American Molly Mitchell Sends First 5.14a

Molly Mitchell has climbed her first 5.14a with a lap of Wrongdoer at Mount Charleston in Nevada.

I'm so excited to say that today I redpointed "Wrongdoer," 5.14a, at the Roost, Mt. Charleston. This is my first send of a 5.14! Andy Raether @menagerieclimb got the First Ascent of this awesome route a few years back, and he has been so supportive of me trying it this summer! Thanks for the belays Jorge Jordan, @humanboltgun, @tyalanpeter ??. And thanks for the post-send photo @queserawells ?. AND thanks @ladylockoff for the photo shoots & support! So fun. Feeling very loved and happy ? #sportclimbing

The long route is at Robber’s Roost wall and first climbed by Andy Raether. It starts on Highway Man 5.12a, continue through Highway Robbery 5.13a and continues to the top of the cliff.

Molly Mitchell, 24, has climbed a number of 5.13 trad routes and has established several of her own unrepeated gear lines, most run-out and X-rated.
